The recent episode entitled "Myths Revisited" got me all excited that perhaps a second season was starting, but according to my Tivo, that's not the case.

I'm jonesin' for new episodes. Anyone know anything?

Didn't the intro say something about "before they..." (start the next season? I forget) "the Mythbusters answer their critics..." ?

I want new episodes too! According to the Discovery Channel site (here) it looks like new shows start July 27th.

revisited was they tried some of the more interesting ones again to see if they got different results.

I saw one tonight for the first time where they blew up a plane and trashed a cop car. No idea if it was new / old but it was new to me.

It showed up on my Tivo between last night and tonight so it happened sometime in the last 24hrs

It looks like revisited was probably an introduction to the second season - they had a couple of interns helping out, which would make the second season more interesting.

Yeah, the one they re-ran this week was "Explosive Decompression", which hasn't really showed since its original airing. (It did reshow once, but with wonky guide data on the Tivo, and as a "special" so it didn't show up on the Mythbusters web site schedule). I missed the original airing, so it's new to me too. Which is (for me) as good as an actually new episode.

I enjoyed the "revisited" show that I watched this past weekend. They went back and looked at some of the experiments that they did in Season 1 and redid some of them based on email feedback from viewers. If you didn't Tivo it, go ahead and get it. It's not just your standard rehash of the first season. There is some new content to it.

The chicken gun myth has finally been laid to rest. :)

So has the peeing on the fence (or third rail, if you want to be picky :D) myth. That whole thing made me laugh. Growing up in rural Kansas, I've known PLENTY of men (and a couple of women-although the logistics are something I really don't want to know about) had the fence experience.

I'd seen this last episode many times before, but much to my surprise, I really enjoyed watching it again. This may just be the one documentary series I'll buy on DVD.

I thought about it myself, but the pricing on their dvds is insane. Don't remember exactly what it is off the top of my head, and I'm too lazy to look it up again, but it immediately turned me off.

Was the "Revisited" show under the same title in the TiVo listings? I missed it and it does not appear to be repeating anytime in the next two weeks... :(
