DS9 question re: Season 4 premiere

I hate Spike.tv!
I've been continuing to try to watch DS9... dealing with the skipped two-parters (even doing some SUIDs where I can)... but then they go and skip, for no reason that I can tell, the first episode of Season Four - 'The Way of the Warrior".
I've seen the plot summary on that uk site that does an ok job... but it still doesn't explain things like:
a- why and how did Worf leave the Enterprise
b - what was he doing on DS9
c - how did he help Sisko with regard to some Klingon disturbance mentioned
d - afterwards... how did he come to stay on the station, and it what capacity.
I've let the last two weeks of shows build up, hoping they'd show it.. but now I give up. But I figured I'd at least try to get some good info here before jumping into episode #2 and beyond.
Thanks all

They've run most of the two-parters, including the two-part Way of the Warrior, separately on Friday nights in the "Trek Uncut" block. It should roll around again soon.

Spoilerizing, just in case some people (or the OP) don't want to read.

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
At the start of the episode, Worf is on extended leave after the destruction of the Enterprise D in Star Trek: Generations. He was in a monastery somewhere in the Klingon Empire when Sisko requested his assistance

Sisko specifically requests that Worf be temporarily assigned to DS9 to assist with defusing the situation with the Klingon Task Force, and their "protection" of the station. Sisko thought that having a Klingon take on a Klingon issue was the best way to handle things

Some Klingons came into Quark's Bar and started a disturbance. Worf went in and laid the smackdown, old school.

Sisko requests that Worf remain on the station as his Strategic Operations Officer, partly to keep him in Starfleet (he was prepared to resign his commission) and partly because he was genuinely needed on the station in light of the Klingon/Cardassian military tensions. Worf agrees, and accepts his first Command position.
Edit: Even if this answers your questions... you should really watch this episode when Spike runs it again. TWOTW is one of the best DS9 episodes. Great dialogue, and it lays some serious groundwork for some of the characters and their storylines in the later episodes. Not to mention, it has one of Star Trek's best space battle scenes... outside of DS9 season 6.

I didn't realize it was as two-parter.

Heck, I didn't know it was a two-parter until I put the DVD in hoping to finally catch that episode, then wondering when the episode wrapup would take place (50 minutes in, no signs of wrapup... and I had an appointment to catch!).

A quote from the f/x coordinator regarding the fleets of ships needed for this episode:
"Luckily, these were Klingon ships, so there were toys, models and Christmas ornaments for us to use."
Christmas ornaments?!?!? They also used some Playmate toys.

I'm pretty sure Spike showed this episode within the past couple weeks. I know it's still on my TiVo, so it couldt've been that long ago.

Dude! How could you have not known it was a two-parter?!!?

Because I returned to North America during summer '96, and I saw DS9 for the first time then. It was a couple of episodes beyond WotW. (By then, I already had the nickname).

Those Hallmark ornaments are always something to look forward to every August or so... I've got several of them. Very nice!
