"In expanding upon the NFL's "Building Bridges" theme for the upcoming season, NFL Network and the Jacksonville Jaguars will provide fans an all-access, behind-the-scenes look at an NFL training camp when Inside Training Camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars premieres Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NFL Network. "
This is great news as HBO's Hard Knocks has not been on in 2 years. It was a great show and now it looks like NFL Network will be taking over...I hope its as good as HBO's version. I am psyched!
Also, the article says that the NFL Network will launch its all HD channel in August. Good news for you HD Tivo'ers...:D :D

This is great......i really missed this show!
It's especially cool rooting for the underdog guys trying to make the roster.
The Ravens series was good and the Cowboys were so-so....we'll have to see how the Jaguars are.....i don't know if they'll have any really entertaining veterans like Shannon Sharpe and Siragusa.

Reading the article i see that it will be on the NFL Network and not HBO. No "Hard knocks" title either, that may belong with HBO.
It should be the same production quality though because the first two were also done by Steve Sabol's guys at NFL Films.
And it looks like we'll have Hugh Douglas for entertainment and comic relief.....i remember him as being a pretty funny guy from when he was here with the Eagles.

I'd be skeptical about the objectivity in editing of a show for the NFL network, as opposed to HBO. Not saying it wouldn't be good... but just that it will most likely be a lot more "filtered".

Weren't the "Hard Knocks" series longer than 5 weeks? Maybe not since training camp isn't much longer than that, but it seems like there were more than 5 episodes of the Ravens and Cowboys shows.

I was pretty disappointed they didn't have Hard Knocks last season. I really liked the Cowboys series the year before (and I'm not a Dallas fan).
One of the better documentary/reality shows, if you're into that kind of thing.

NFL Network? What channel is that?

212 on DirecTV

I am worried that they will filter it as well...ever notice how they dont really report on any of the off season struggles of certain misbehaving players on NFL Total access???

I doubt the objectivity will be much different than it was with the Hard Knocks series, considering NFL Films produced that one with HBO.
To answer another question in this thread, the Cowboys one was 6 weeks, I believe the Ravens series was the same.

Does the nfl network allow swearing? That was an under-rated upside factor of the hbo version...

Man, I went from curious to excited to deflated. NFL network? Bah...
