i have my tivo hacked and ethernet is enabled
im using the netgear FA-120 usb adapter
once in a while it will just lock up while doing commands on the remote
and it will stay that way forever unless i pull the power

also i seen some stuff i wanted to install however how do you do it when the ftp and telnet are read only how can i change it to allow full access with a password

This will make it writable mount -o rw,remount /

This will make it readable mount -o ro,remount /

I would go through the hacks you have installed and turn them off. Fire them up one by one to see which one is causing the problem.

i know a few basics about linux thats it
i know the joe text editor failed to install right however vi is there
im nut sure where the hacks are installed or where i have to remove them
