Also, the FCC's web site has a handy lookup page here ....
http://www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/audio/tvq.html
Enter the call signs or geographic location you're interested in and query their database. Lots of information, including the channel numbers and frequency allocation for both analog and digital stations.

I guess what I should have asked it if all I am interested in is digital TV (Channels 2-69) are these channels in the UHF frequency range? If so I can put up a high gain UHF antenna pointing north toward San Francisco and not worry about the San Jose stations, too bad NBC

Channels 2 - 13 are VHF, 14 - 69 are UHF.. Most but not all DTV stations are UHF, but you need to check and see what your local market has by using the above links.. In my case Chattanooga has one VHF station. Some markets have multiple VHF's, while others have none.

At antennaweb.org, enter your zipcode and address, then look at the list for station IDs with a "-DT" suffix, indicating the digital station transmitted channel. Using PSIP data included in the transmitted signal, most digital stations are mapped to a logical channel number that corresponds to their analog channel number. For example, here in Seattle, transmitted digital channel 48-1 is KING-DT and is mapped to logical channel 5-1, which corresponds to their analog channel 5.
Good luck!

Is the best place to go since Antennaweb went and neutered themselves.

What!?? NEUTERED!!???
That's what happened to my dog, and she hasn't been the same since.

truly neutered. As of 6 weeks or so ago most people are not seeing any stations over 30 miles away. For me there really arent any stations within 30 miles but I have no problem receiving stations 30-50 miles out. Thus its pretty useless since it says nothing is available.

Since you're in the Bay Area, you might want to check out the HDTV in SFBay Yahoo Group, too.
