Soap schedule trouble - newbie help...

Hi,

I guess I could solve this myself with trial and error - but hope you guys can help me shortcut the grief!.

'er indoors loves her soaps (and our two week old TiVo), but is disapointed that TiVo usually misses the end of Eastenders, to start recording Coronation St. I set padding on the end of Eastenders, but then TiVo warned that it wouldn't record Coronation St at all.

We deliberately removed the terrestrial channels 101 - 105 from TiVo to ensure we could always watch Sky whenever TiVo was recording "normal telly" (as otherwise it would always default to the better quality signal, and thus "hog" Sky).

Can anyone tell me if there's a dependable repeat of either show later in the day (I'm guessing UK Gold / ITV2 / BBC3 or somesuch channel always shows the same episodes a few hours later?).

Hope you can help.

Jamie

As you suspected - BBC3 for EE, ITV2 for Corrie; later the same evening. Times may vary :)

Use endpad to pad the shows (it won't pad if there's a show immediately following), rather than Tivo's padding, which will cause the problems you discribe.

IIRC, ITV2 repeats Corrie, and BBC3 repeats Eastenders at 10:30.

PS. Tivo should "Hog" sky - that's the point. Record Everything you want to watch, and what it when you want through tivo.

If you select the programme details and select to view the upcoming episodes, you will see all of the episodes of the series, irrespective of which channel they are broadcast on. That will give you an idea of the alternate channels, and you can select any of those episodes and add extra SP's on them. The only difficulty can be spotting where a different series is being broadcast on those channels.
