Audio Lost (Discovery Channel)?
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I went to watch live TV last night and had NO audio on the channel it was tuned to. At first I thought it was NO big deal as I thought the unit was on HDNet but upon further examination it was on DiscoveryHD (76). I switched tuners to a local OTA station an the audio was ok so I switched back to DiscoveryHD and NO sound! I switched channels to HDNet, which had sound, and back to DiscoveryHD and magically the sound was there.
This is the first time I've lost sound on DiscoveryHD with the exact same symptoms as HDNet. Has anyone else experienced the losing audio phenomenon on DiscoveryHD?
I'm calling D* as soon as I receive some feedback from this forum and request I receive the HD package for free until this 'audio' issue is resolved.
Thanks,
John

I don't yet have an HD-TiVo, but using my LG LSS3200A HD receiver, I can't recall ever having any audio OR video problems with HD Discovery (my favorite HD channel). Likewise, I don't remember having any significant audio drop outs on HDNet.
I'm holding off on purchasing an HD-TiVo until I see some of the glitches associated with this piece of hardware resolved. I don't think the problems have anything to do with either DirecTV or HDNet since evidently none of the audio drop out issues are occurring with any other hardware.

I watch a lot of Discovery and only had that happens once on a show about New York City.
The dropout lasted like 60 seconds. It was in the recording. I could go back and pinpoint the exact moment of silence.
I think it was just a fluke.

It happened to me once. Was watching Discovery and lost audio. Recovered it by changing channels and returning the Discovery. This was exactly like the HDNet problem... except it has only happened once on Disc and MANY times on HDNet.

It's only happened once to me but it may be the beginning of a problem identical to HDNet!
