Help - Hdmi & If Pj

I just received the HD10-250 and hooked it up to my IF 7205 pj and no dice with the HDMI output. All I get is a black screen - tried using component out and no problems, so that it what I am using now. I also am using a Sammy 360 with DVI out and no problems. Is it time for me to call for a replacement 250 or is there something else I should try first.

Thanx,

Rick

I have a similar problem. I hooked my 10-250 up on Monday night using the HDMI to DVI cable. It worked great until last night (Thurs.). While I was adjusting the OTA antenna, the screen went black. Now, I can’t get a picture with the HDMI cable. Just a black screen.

I hooked up a component cable, and it works fine.

I don’t have another TV with an HDMI or DVI input, and I don’t have another piece of video equipment that outputs in DVI format, so I can’t tell whether the problem is the 10-250or the tv. I guess that it could be the cable, but that seems unlikely.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Guys this is just heart breaking. I have been waiting for my HD Tivo from VE sence March. I have a Sharp 10k DLP projector and have never seen HD on it. I alos bought a 50foot DVI cable just to hook up my HD Tivo once it comes in. All I read are bad HDMI / DVI connections and I an verry worried.

I have a pre-order with Tweeter/ Sound Advice that is due in next week. I just prey my DVI works. Now the question is for how long will it work....

Rick you have two choices return it from where you bought it and see if they have a quick replacment for you. If they dont then call DirecTv and start a replacement with them. The other thing you can do is wait until this issue is truly resolved and then get a replacement.

Horta, for what it is worth, the picture is stunning through the component cables too. Like you, this is my first HD receiver, and I had never seen HD on my tv before. I love it, and dread the thought of giving it up for a few weeks to get a replacement.
