I called D*tv and reported the loss of the HDMI output. I was told that D*tv knows about this issue and claims it is a software glitch. They suggested using one of the other outputs and wait for a software upgrade. Was my chain being yanked? Anyone else heard this comment?

I would call back and demand a fix now... Being told to use another set of outputs is BS. Did they even give you a date when the software update would occur?

I did call back and the person I spoke with this time is level 2 tech and says there is no software glitch. Figures. Anyone, I put my name on the list for a replacement, there saying 3-4 weeks.

I wish there was a way I could check mine. My old HD-monitor only has component input. I won't find out until I get a new HDTV with HDMI late this year or early next year.
