Network a Tivo

Hi All
Let me start by saying I have tried searching, but to be quite honest, I dont really know what I am looking for - the jargon throws me off.

all i want, is to be pointed in the direction of a set of instructions written in plain english, that will allow me to network my pc with my Tivo, and to transfer tv programs from my Tivo to my pc hopefully via a pair of 802.11g network cards.

the instructions need to be written in a way that dosn't presume I have any tivo/jargon/network knowledge.

Can anyone help?

To be honest, I wouldn't attempt to do this unless you have a pretty good grasp on these issues. Its a harder process than building a PC from scratch for example.......
