HMO startup

Hello, I recently purchased a Tivo S2 and put it on my home network. It connects and updates program info just fine, but the HMO doesn't work, The tech support guy said it takes 72 hours for it to become active...

Is this what others have seen or has your HMO started working immediately?

They told me that too but I kept making it "Phone home" and it was up and running in less than 24 hours.

Had the same problem here. I just kept forcing it to make a connection every 15 minutes or so.

It's made even more difficult when you have multiple TiVos and you want them to be multi room view enabled and see one another. Once I had them configured correctly online, I just kept connecting BOTH units until they were sync'd up.

Good thing is they are on the network and the "calls" are much faster and don't need a phone. :)

Thanks for the input, I have 2 Tivo S2's and it turns out that the first one I set up has a bad USB port. It won't autodetect the USB network adaptor. The 2nd unit did and made a network call, and the HMO came up about 24 hours later. Now to send the 1st unit back to Tivo :-(
