Hey guys, I moved from Pennsylvania to Montreal in Canada for school. Anyway, I am having problems with my tivo. Tivo has a local access number for Montreal...However, Montreal zip codes are like h3g 2j8(Alphanumeric), not numerical. So I called Tivo customer support and they said they do not support outside of the US...HELLO? why do they have a local access number? No one at customer service could answer that question. So then I asked if they could tell em if Videotron (The cable company we have) is a member. I said if you can find Videotron as a member then you can give me a possibly fake numerical zip to use which will get them as a provider for me. The problem is that Tivo pulls local cable companies by the Zip and not by the telephone area code. I am REALLY missing my Tivo and any assistance you can provide would be very appreciated. Thanks

TiVo does NOT support any Canadian cable companies, so unless Videotron also provides service to a nearby US state, then your SOL. The only reason they have local access numbers is because UUNet provides TiVo with the local dial-in number, and UUNet has Canadian numbers.
