I bought my Tivo from an internet dealer. Where can I get an extended warranty on the product? Thank you. Peter.

Probably from whichever company made the unit.

Yeah, I noticed that Circuit City has a $59 3-year warranty, but I imagine it is only on products you buy from them. Maybe not, though.
I'd be interested in the option...

There are several third-party companies that offer extended warranties. Here's one, for example: http://electronics.vikingwarranty.c...nline/index.asp
They offer coverage for "Video Hard Disk Recorder" at what seems to be a pretty good rate - $50-80 for a 4-year plan (depends on cost of the unit.)
I have no experience with them, though.

I don't know anything about these guys, but found them a while ago when I was looking into buying on the internet.

The Philips Priority Retail appears to be legitimate. http://louisville.bcentral.com/loui...04/daily30.html
Unfortunately, I ended up buying a Hughes from Expert Satellite. When I bought the unit, the salesman told me "All of our receivers come with an extended 2-yr warranty". When I received the unit, no paperwork for the 2-yr, and the saleman indicated that it comes with 1-yr only.
He said I could return it, but now I'm paying for shipment.
I kept my unit and am crossing my fingers and hoping that CC or Best Buy will have a fire sale at Christmas. I'll buy from them, get the extended warranty, make that unit my primary, and sign-up for the lifetime on that unit.
Good Luck!

If you bought your Tivo via a credit card, doesn't the credit card company extend the length of the warranty? I'm upgrading to the Capital One Gold Card and it's suppose to do that.
