I want to make an image copy of my 20hr unit and put it in my 14hr unit. I have heard the hardware is identical and I should be able to do this. Has someone done it? Was there any problems?
Thanks for any help,

Yes, you can do this.
However, you need a 30GB drive, because the 20 hr unit uses an oddball (and not for sale) 22 GB drive.

Why not just get a 40, 60 or 80 and run TiVo mad? I just did it and now have 2 drives and 140 hours.
The only way to fly!
Thanks to the Linux gurus who did the work!!!

I plan on using TivoMad. The issue is that I have damaged the image in my 14 hr unit. I now want to make a copy of the 20hr image and put it on a 60 gig drive, run TivoMad.
