A month into my tivo experience and I am loving it.

I am looking to both connect the unit to my PC via serial connection (PPP) for daily connections and upgrading my hard drive.

I am assuming this is the safest route:

a) Copy my original drive to the 80 GB drive.
b) TiVoMAD it and make sure it works.
c) Perform the PPP hack on the 80 GB -- allows my original drive to go untouched (using Linux).

Make sense?
