hi guys!
tivo newbie here. i just bought a new hard drive off of ebay. the guy said it's simple to install. even sent me an attachment with instructions. problem: i have webtv, got the old, "webtv can't use this...", popup! is it hard? comes with the tools and all. he said if i wanted, he'd install it. ship it to him. he installs hard drive. he ships it back. it's like $20 each way. what would you guys do if you were me?
thanks!

I'd give up on it and ship it to me. Seriously though, It's actually a very simple install especially if the kit has the bracket and torx driver with it. If it takes you more than ten minutes you should never use a screwdriver again. Ever. The hardest part is removing the Tivo cover cuz it's a tight slide backwards.

it comes with the drive, already mounted, that torx thing, screws, everything. that easy huh? i'm a total electronic illiterate. how much do you charge? BTW, your name sounds familiar. have we "spoke" before?
