Tivo Hack Day Questions...

1) the UDAMUPDT.EXE does not seem to be able to be set to UDMA 33. All it shows in the README is UDMA66 or UDMA100.
What is the command line switch for UDMA33 and is it important to make this change?
2) SETACM - for accoustical management..
This seems to be only for those that have the TiVo in ther bedroom. Tivo is in my family room. Is this step important for anything other than noise level? Setting it to quietest probably would not matter much in a large family room as it would in a bedroom.
Thanks.
Greg.

Ignore the UDMA utility - you don't need it. As for AMSET, I wouldn't bother with it in your case.

Some people have reported that turning OFF the Acoustical Management has helped prevent stuttering problems. For this reason, you might want to make sure it's off.

Remember to make sure you dont have any other Maxtors on your PC when running these utilities.. as changes can affect them all.

thanks hinsdale...
The only maxtor that will be hooked up will be the other new 60gb drive. The quantum thats hooked up will be the original A drive from TIVO..
Will that effect it?
Should i do this with the tivo drive not connected?
WIll it save the changes after reboot?
