Anything else I should do other than backup my A drive before I download the 2.0 software?

I personally wouldn't do it that way. Download 2.0 first. Run your new TiVo for a week or so before opening it. If there are problems or quirks, you can still take it back to the store.

The reason people once said to backup immediately was to reduce the size of the backup; that was the only way to fit it onto just a few CDs. Now that we have ZAPTiVo, that's no longer a benefit.

Yeah, I agree. Back it up after the 2.01 upgrade is done and it's works for a day or 2 at least. Also run the diagnostic tests that are on the WD bootdisk on the drive before instaling it.
