Need help with problem please

I have a Sony SVR-2000 with an added 60 GB Maxtor. I have had no problems in my 6 months of ownership, but now Tivo keeps restarting, interrupting recordings and playback, and it can't finish "housekeeping" after making the daily call, it always restarts itself. Has this happened to anyone else? Any help appreciated.

Test the Tivo's hard drives with the appropriate utilities from the hard drive manufacturer's web site.

Sounds like a hard drive problem. I'd run some diagnostics on the drives, if you are lucky, it's repairable; if not, use your backup to restore to a new drive. If you don't have a backup, use Tiger's new tool.
