tivonet via wireless

Since I blew my modem last week i was considering hooking up to my network via tivonet. I have a wireless linksys DHCP router for my cable connection. Does the connection have to be a homerun? Is there a converter from a USB plug to an RJ45 so IO can connect via an extra USB plug I have?
I think I need some advice before I take the plunge.

The best way to do wireless for a tivo is to get a client bridge, which basically takes the RJ45 from your tivonet card on one side and a PCMCIA 802.11b card on the other side and turns a 10BaseT connection into a wireless connection.

I'm in the same boat as bsullasc. Can some recommend a specific hardware mfg and model? I've seen lots of hypothesizing on the forum but nothing definitive.
Thank you.
