I'm having to redo my upgrade due to a dead Maxtor. I am now 4-for-4 on owning Maxtors that die (3 computer, 1 TiVo). I'm going WD on this one!

I'm about to follow you. I've had two Maxtors die in the last two months in my TiVo. Pretty annoying.

The most annoying thing is that the newest one passess all of the Powermax tests. I know the drive is bad, (extremem stutters and lockups/clicking noise) but I might have trouble convincing the rep of that.
