Successfull upgrade of Sony SVR2000 from 30 hours to 154 (adding a 100 gig maxtor). Painless. Thanks very much for your hard work, TivoMad, Tiger and Hinsdale!

Thanks also; my upgrade went off without a hitch. 14hrs to 115hrs.

Ditto in the thanks department. Even though I'm pretty good at disassembling/assembling and commandline stuff - I really felt comfortable.

The only discomfort I had was after the restore, everything hung up at 100 percent saying something about "cleaning up the restore". I left it alone for 5 hours and eventually turned off the machine. Didn't seem to hurt. Maybe it deserves a mention in the how-to.

Tested, blessed and 116 hours in my DSR6000.

Outstanding !

This is the third time I have heard of this stall-out in the final restore cleanup operation. Although an infrequent occurence, is worth a mention in the How-To.

BTW..Glad all your upgrades went well. Welcome to the TiVolution http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif
