Got everything running last night, words can't describe how cool this is. Great thanks to all the people writing how-tos, faqs, the hacking tools, and TiVo Web! I've been playing around with it today, but I'm wondering if there's a possibility of some added functionality http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif. Is there a way to setup a menu pic that will allow for manual recording? IE: drop down or text box to select/type channel, box to enter start time, box for end time with am/pm radio buttons for each. drop down to select quality level and other recording options..
This would be very beneficial for times like last week, where there is a major breaking news story or an unexpected/unscheduled show, and you can't get to a tv to watch it and can't exactly select a program in the guide to record it buy.
Also, a friend of mine has a TiVo and he also does alot of archiving of shows to SVCD. Right now he has to run home on lunch to start a capture manually. What would really help him is if there was a button in the "Now Playing" list to start playing that program from the begining. This would allow him to connect to his system via vnc to setup the capture, then go to tivoweb and start playing the program.
Any input on either of these ideas?
Thanks! - Az

I have my Tivoweb up and running. I am able to Access my Tivo from another computer on the internet and use my Online TivoWeb remote which allows any function of your remote including on screen channel lists to find the program you need or manual record.
http://tivo.lightn.org/ is a great website which gives you directions on how to start your Tivoweb. You want the 1.9.1 version TCL.
If you need help...Let me know

Manual recording scheduling is on my todo list for some time in the future, but I haven't done much development on it lately.
Being able to play a recording from tivoweb has been requested before, but I don't know of any event that I can send to cause it to happen, so until then...

I'm also swooning with delight over tivoweb. I'm now officially the life of every party and the envy of all my friends.
One thing puzzles me though.
After playing with the interface for a while I finally decided that the ability to schedule a program which is not currently under an existing season pass or in suggestions has not yet been implemented, and of course while I anxiously await such a feature I'm still thrilled... but I keep seeing references here and in other writings to scheduling shows... am I missing something? or are the shows folks are scheduling ones that appear in existing season passes and suggestions?

You can not search by title to find a show. But if you know when it is one (or any airing in that series), use the channel list to find it. From there you can record it, or pull up the upcoming showings list on the series screen and pick which one you want.

Oh awesome!
I had somehow gotten the impression that the channel list only showed upcoming showings of things that you allready record so I stopped looking there for the answer.
Thank you!
