I went to restore from a compressed backup and when it finished I received a CRC error but the #s in and out were the same. I went ahead and booted the single drive and went though setup all ok except every screen had a black background and would not display all the text. Well I finished setup and it booted without any problem but would lock when I switched to live TV or back to the main Tivo screen.
So basically I’m screwed right now. Anyone have any ideas?

The backup I had was for a single drive Sony SVR-2000 and was a virgin 1.3 backup.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try to restore it again. Sometimes a random error occurs that causes the CRC error.

Happened to me before - restarting the restore worked...
