When using the 212 TIVO as a manual recorder without the guide service, how do you turn off the annoying reminder screen that keeps popping up that tells you to make a call to update the guide? Also, where can I find out about the upgrade or fix to improve resolution? Thanks

That's easy. Pony up $250 for lifetime, or $9.95/month to TiVo. No more reminders, you'll get the resolution fix, etc.
