.... and some of us are more concerned about the removal of the ability to use our "homegrown" features in 2.5, rather than what the new features may be ....

No, funny unknown titles don't attract me. Nor do uninformative titles such as "need help.." or "has anyone..." or "something funny". Threads like "RB, TiVo Website says 2.5.1 for Standalones to be available in October?" do. In fact, the only reason I found this thread is because you linked it from there.
