Maxtor Drives

I have gone through the process of setting up and restoring to a pair of Maxtor D540X 80Gig drives using Dylan & TrevUtil Floppies. All seemed to go fine executing the process. When I installed them into the Tivo the drive jumpers were set to master for the a drive and slave for the b drive. The Tivo keeps rebooting and never running up.

Two questions:

are the jumper settings correct?
how can I ascertain if the drives are correctly restored and configured.

The jumper settings are correct.
Did you run the edit bootparms program ? UK TiVos running 1.5 require the runideturbo=false adjustment when using non-quantum drives. See the end of Step 8 for instructions: http://www.newreleasesvideo.com/hinsdale-how-to/

Otherwise you are going to have to give alot more information on the steps you have made, commands issued etc in order to determine your problem.

Even if you followed all the Hinsdale instructions exactly, there are the silly things I sometinmes forget - are the IDE cables connected properly, are both disks powered up, etc.
