Incorrect guide info and seaons pass question

Hi! New tivo owner here (Christmas present). I absolutely love it, it's awesome. My unit is 30 hours. I'm considering the 80 GB maxtor upgrade.
Anyways, here's my problem. Coronation Street (the wife's show) is on weekdays for 30 minutes in the afternoon and on Sunday at 9:00am for 2 hours. Tivo has the correct showtimes for the weekday shows, but the Sunday show is wrong. Tivo shows 30 mins at 9:00, 60 mins at 9:30am, and 30 mins at 10:30am. The Digital Cable guide shows the Sunday showing correctly as 2 hours at 9:00am. What can I do to get this corrected?
My second question is related. The wife set up a seasons pass for Coronation Street. However, the third bogus showing at 10:00am on Sunday has a text line like, "You have a seasons pass to this program. This showing will not be recorded". And last weekend it wasn't, which annoyed the wife to no end. Why would Tivo not record a show with a seasons pass? There was definitely lots of free drive space at that point in time.

You probably have a conflicting season pass. From the To Do list where you see the message saying that the program won't be recorded, select "Record this program too". The Tivo will then tell you what the conflict is.

till some greater minds figure out the problem, you could set it to manually record the problem time slot. you may have to set it first, then do the season pass for the timeslot that works, or just set them both to manually record.

I noticed something like this too. I guessed that the system was smart enough to not record the same episode (clearly the guide has a description and some way to identify episodes) twice even if you have a season pass.
If this isn't the intended functionality, I hope it's added. Some of these cable series have many, many showings throughout the week, and I don't want them all nor do I want them to block another recording for something I already had this week.

Apparently, rather than a 2 hour show it's a 30-minute, a 60-minute, and a 30-minute show back to back. When you have a season pass, TiVo doesn't record a showing if that same episode is still on disk. In other words, if the episode at 10:30 on Sunday is a repeat from earlier in the week, and you still have that episode saved, it will not be recorded again.

I don't think TiVo does this in 1.3. Am I right?

No, it certainly does check for duplicates in 1.3. I had a problem for the longest time with getting certain season pass shows to record. It turns out the problem was incorrect guide information. For a daily show, Tuesday's and Wednesday's episode information were always the same (even though the shows were actually not the same episode). It took me almost a month to figure out why Wednesday's show would never record.
