Is TiVo still running the insiders special

I'm trying to hunt down the link for a friend. Does anyone know if TiVo is still running the "friends and family" special and if so what the link is. Thanks in advance.

Although by now, you could probably get those same prices from other online retailers (if not cheaper), so you might want to look around before ordering direct from TiVo.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I used the http://www.tivo.com/order
URL as of last Thursday and got the 30 hour Philips (HDR31204, single-drive) unit for $249 w/ free shipping. That was the best price I could find online for a new 30 hour unit. It arrived on Wednesday.

As much as I hated caving to spam http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif I ordered a TiVo this way as well. I spent a little time searching online for a better deal, but I couldn't find anything that was worth passing up the free shipping and the security of ordering from TiVo directly. You GOTTA love that ultra secret "insider-only" URL!

I don't know if you want to view this as positive or negative, but my friend ordered a TiVo from there that was DOA. The positive part was that it was incredibly easy to return. They even come with the prepaid shipping labels and you can call and have the shipping guy come pick it up for free. No waiting until they got the old unit before sending a new one or anything like that either. The second one arrived and is now doing fine.

I just picked up a 14hr Tivo from Ubid for $119. Hopefully it will arrive intact with all parts. I have had good luck with Ubid so I am confident.
