I just did "straight" ISO9660; I don't suppose it really matters, as long as you get get the files on there such that they can be retrieved at a later date and will then byte-for-byte compare equal with the original.

If you have any doubts, look up my post where I gave the URL of a simple command line MD5 checksum program (search for "md5sum"), and run it on the file on the HD, then on the file on your CD-R. If they're not equal, something's wrong.
