Another step completed, the drive is Blessed.... to 3GB. Oops, but I got it fixed.

Well, I recieved what will be my B drive, so I decided to bless it today, even if I don't add it right away. I'm not sure I want to wait on a mounting bracket that is on an indefinate waiting list, so I'll probably add the drive tomorrow....
I blessed the drive.... 3GB. Damn. I was really hoping this wouldn't happen to me. I check the FAQ I printed out a while back, which really doesn't seem to say much more than not to use it as is....
I figure I'm going to have to upgrade my BIOS. I do a quick search of the forum and I find a couple of recent threads that actually mention how it is possible to turn of the automatic detection and just let linux do the job, since it should get it right.
Ok, this sounds good to me. I set up the drive again, and I boot. I search the settings to find some kind of detection that I'm supposed to turn off. I really don't know what I'm looking for, so I'm hoping it will just jump out at me. I end up turning off something that totally prevents me from recognising the drive (I think I disabled both the primary and secondary IDE). That wasn't good.
On the second attempt, I turned off plug-and-play. This didn't really jump out at me as what I was looking for, but it was it. Or at least, it's the last thing I changed before it worked.
60GB drive blessed at 58GB (or was that 57). Either way, sounds right to me.
Now, before I add the drive, I do have one problem. I am assuming that this will wipe my Now Showing (I don't know if it will, but it's safer to plan for the event), so I want to watch anything important before adding the second drive.
Will adding a "B" drive wipe out Now Showing?

I'm 99.99% sure that it will not. At least it didn't on mine. Can't think of any reason it would.

Thanks. I usually start with the "better safe than sorry" precautions. I was hoping someone would give me a ray of hope. I have already been told that I shouldn't lose my Season Passes, which is nice. If I can keep Now Showing, then all I really need to do now is decide what I want in the way of a temporary mounting until the bracket I ordered shows up (an order which still has not even been confirmed).

No, it will not. Besides, if you have a backup you could always go back.

No, the only difference you will see after putting the B drive in is a lot more capacity in the system information screen.
