I'd like to backup my 30G Quantum lct10-30 to another drive, but I'm a bit confused about something. I realize that this is easy if I'm backing up to another lct10-30, but how can I find out if it will work with a different 30G drive. For example, will it work with a drive that has different geometry (different number of cylanders and sectors/cylander)? Also, I know that some 30G drives really hold 30.05G while others hold 30.03. How can I tell in advance if the drive I buy will work? In particular, I want to copy the image of my lct10 to an lct15. Should I have any problems with this?

As long as the target is at least as large as the sourse you will be fine. I'm not sure of the specs of the LCT10, but it will probably go to a LCT15 just fine. Try checking Quantum's web site to get the exact specs
