108 Hours on a Mac
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have a Mac G3 266 Desktop and a brand new Sony TiVo. Luckily my Mac boots off a SCSI drive. I replaced the ATA drive in my Mac with a brand new Maxtor 60GB drive, blessed it with MacTivo Blesser 0.3.1d, slapped it into the Sony and BINGO! 108 hours, no problems all. If you want more info, send me email at carkhuff@pacbell.net.

Did you backup your 'A' drive? Did you use the mac to do it?

What's the specific model of the 60GB Maxtor? H8 or U8?

I used a Maxtor DiamondMax Manufacturer# 96147U8
I didn't back up the A drive because I like to live on the edge. If I had wanted to though I probably would have popped it into the Mac the same way I blessed the B drive, and made an image of it onto my spare 40GB USB drive. I just didn't want to wait.

Congrats! It's nice to know that Macs are not being left out of the loop.

I also used a 60GB Maxtor Diamond Plus on my Sony TRV2000. Worked like a charm. 31 hrs at Best Quality, 110 at Basic.
