I, for one, don't mind the Lexus ad. In fact, I participated in it. I also don't mind future ads of this type being on TiVo Central, but I would like to make a suggestion.

There are three main places I go on TiVo Central. Now Playing, PPTR, and Setup. I go to these places FREQUENTLY. Having the Lexus ad at the bottom of TiVo Central is a minor annoyance. Why? Because to get to setup, I just hit chdown and the right arrow. The same goes for PPTR: chdown, up, right. Now with this ad at the bottom of the screen, it makes the process more inefficient, and at times annoying.

I don't mind the ad being there, but maybe a better place would be inbetween TiVolution magazine and showcases. At least there it won't get in the way as much. I know it will make my life a lot easier (and don't forget the people who make macros to get to certain places on TiVo). At least if it's in the middle, there is a consistant way to get around it that doesn't make for a whole bunch of extra button pushes.

That's my suggestion. Do with it what you will.

Oh, and maybe an autoexpire feature that removes the star next to the advertisement after you first view it (like messages does), or after 5 days. I think that would be another way to make it more palatable for a lot of people.
