Clip-On ... I found this while browsing around the Sony Japan website. It's most definatly a PVR, but it's not running TiVo software. I thaught TiVo and Sony were working together. Either way, it looks a lot slicker than my Sony TiVo.

Probably the reason for the SVR naming convention, but it obviously isn't a TiVo (like you said) or we'd know about it.

It's nice to know their remotes look silly :D

This was introduced in 2000. At the time of introduction its guide data was only for the "Tokyo area" but there were "plans to expand".

The 20 hour version listed for about $1600 USD.
