Anyone using a wireless phone connection?

Just wondering if anyone is successfully using a wireless phone connection with TIVO. I know that TIVO suggests not doing it but it would be SO convenient....

I'm using an RCA wireless phone jack with no problems. Just be sure you get the right model (there are two). I first had the RC920 and it worked for my digital cable but not Tivo (maybe 1 out of 5 attempts would work). I switched to the RC930 and haven't had a single problem - works great. Here's a link:

I have the same setup as Snowden. The instructions to set it up weren't exactly correct. But since then I have had no problems (1 month now).

Actually I've heard the power-plug type of wireless phone jacks are supposed to be *good* for the TiVo. If there are voltage problems on the line, the wireless jack can apparently balance them out. In any event we put one of these on my Mom's TiVo (the RCA data compatible version), and it's worked great so far.

For what it is worth I actually have two Tivos each with their own remote units working off the same base unit and that too works fine (just some failures when one attempts to initiate a call when the other is already on line - it kicks in security on the wireless jack)
