Downloading MPEG

Is there anyway to download the MPEG files through the serial connection? If so i am thinking of buying one..

The serial connection runs at a maximum of 128Kbps! A one hour recording in basic takes up about 850MB which means it would take about 15 hours to download it over the serial connection http://www.avsforum.com/ubbtivo/eek.gif
Now the ethernet card hack that some of the guys are working on makes that less of a problem since it runs as high as 10Mbps, however Tridge is still the only one who actually knows how to extract the video files from a TiVo and he's not sharing just yet.

Some people know (or claim to) but they will not post it on the boards.
