$249 Lifetime subs?

I just bought a Sony 2000 and when I accessed the account set-up,
one of the choices was a $249 Liftetime Subscription. Is this accurate
for all others out there who just purchased theirs after the May 1
deadline? At least they still offered the Lifetime option. Anyone out there have a different experience?

As far as I know, any unit purchased May 1 or later will have a lifetime sub of $250. This has been posted here for quite some time. Why didn't you buy your unit before the April 30th deadline?

I was the biggest idiot for buying one the day after the deadline. Well, the truth to the matter was, I work 2 jobs, about 70-80 hours a week. I rarely get to regularly check out the board and when I am off, I am too tired to go out to check things out. Finally today, I was off and knowing that the $199 subscription ended but was still suspecting that maybe by long shot that they would still offer some kind of deal. I headed straight to a nearest retail store that is an authorized dealer (40 miles away), picked one up for $399 SOny SVR2000 including taxes(brought a print out of online store to price match)without questions. I was in ans out of the store in less that 10 minutes. Drove home, set it up and while waiting for the 3-4 hour initialization drill, went to get groceries, came back, set up my account for Lifetime subscription and now I am the happiest honcho. Thank you so much Tivo. Now I can die happy.
