Will TiVo sell you a new A drive?

I just bought a 30 hour TiVo. I added a 60 Gig HD. I love it.
Now I would like to make my A drive bigger, but I screwed up my backup the first time.
Will TiVo sell me a larger A drive with the OS and everything ready to go? Then i can do a proper backup and add an 80 Gig to it.
Thanks for your help.

Don't count on it. To retain their current position they can't do anything that actively encourages people to open their boxes. (Costs of supporting hackers and all aside, there is liability from the unshielded power supply)
Whats wrong with your backup?

You aren't alone. See http://dv2go.com/nobackup.html

Go to uBid.com, bid on a 14 hour Tivo (about $129 should get it), and rip the drive out. Sure it's not 30 hours, but if the hack to expand the drive pans out, you can recover. If not, at least you have a 14 hour drive (better than no tivo).

AFAIK, 30 GB is the largest A drive you can get for TiVo.

I still wouldn't encourage not making a backup. Comparable single-drive replacement units are becoming rarer each day, if it is a DirecTiVo unit it is nearly impossible, and you may not be able to restore with the drive from another unit once gold becomes final.
