Has anyone bought one of the upgraded Tivo's on Ebay? Or heard anything bad about them?
Do you have to do anything special when there is a new software upgrade to a "Hacked Tivo"?

Why don't you just buy a new one and have someone help you to upgrade it. As I can recalled there are lot of board member willing to help each others.

The upgrade from ver 1.3 to 2.0.1 works fine on hacked TiVos. Other than the normal ebay cautions, you should ask if a backup was done prior to upgrading the TiVo.

I have good feedback, and I upgrade in accordance with all the info posted in the BB.
