I thought we were going to start seeing "clips" or network promos on upcoming shows? Too bad they laid off the people that could actually get them.

Yeah, I'm disappointed that we haven't seen more clips either. Movie trailers and other interactive media are all still in the works I'm sure, just taking a bit longer than expected.

Technically it looks like all they would have to do is broadcast the clips on the Discovery Channel at night. Maybe they are still working on content agreements.

I bet it would be a legal fiasco to rebroadcast network promos on Discovery. I thought the idea was that TiVo would capture the promos as they ran and store them in Showcases or TiVolution. My guess is that they are having a hard time convincing the nets/cable to agree to buy the gadgetry to "tag" the clips that run, or to get them to provide Tivo with the material. Tivo laid off most of their people who would know how to navigate those murky waters of the entertainment industry when they axed TiVo Takes.
