Hi,

I was wondering if something like this is possible. My wife has a workout tape she would like to place on our tivo since the tivo is easier to play from and move around the recording in. I know you can copy from tivo to vcr but can you do the reverse? I know tivo has inputs so I was thinking maybe there is a way?

Basically, you copy from a VCR to TiVo the same way you record a DVD to TiVo. Or a TV camera.

Tell TiVo that your input device is on one of the video inputs and has it's own tuner. In other words, select either "cable with box" or "satellite tuner" and specify where it is connected (S-video or NTSC). Then connect your device there. Manually set up the recording; it won't have an appropriate title in "Now Showing."

You will have to go through setup again if you don't have one of these devices selected already.
