I think this might have been asked before, but now sure where. So.. Are we going to be losing the spell checker? On the window it sayes after Dec 15 it will no longer be free. But it still works. If its a question of having to buy it I for one would chip in toward the cost. It looks like it's 150 bucks a year..

Yes...it will be going away....The cost is quite high...From them when I asked about it...
"The base price for a licensed version is $3,500 the first year, which includes the license, engine, maintenance, upgrades and support on one server. Each additional year is $1,500 for continued maintenance, support and upgrades, if desired. This annual fee is not required for continued use."
If we do it on "Hits" it would cost us like $1,500 a year at our current load without buying the licence. :(

David you may want to check out this article...

I don't actually know PHP, but it appears to explain how to do spell checking in PHP, and has links to all the code you need.

It looks like the spell checker is miraculously still here after December 15th! :D What happened??
Can the dictionary be edited so that TiVo, DirecTV, and other terms of TiVo art don't get flagged as misspellings?

Hummm...it is back again...weird! But I will take what I can get.
I think if you use the ADD button it will add it into a custom dictionary on your machine. Not sure, never tried.

Ok...it went off again...But thanks to a member who pointed me one I can use on this server directly...We now have one again. It is different, but it works.
