I have a new DSR6000R01 with two drives. Before I run out and buy a 80 gig hd.....I'm running software version 2.5-01-1-001 are there any problems associated with the upgrade running this version? Thanks in advance....Swazi

No problems at all just use Hilsdate step by step and your all set. I have upgraded three of my philips Dtivos. I recommend to get two large disk and upgraade both the A and B drives, you can't have to much record time.

Adding a 80gb as B drive will give you 96 hours.
Adding a 100gb a B drive will give you 116 hours.
Adding a 100gb as A and B drive gives you 185 hours.

There may be a problem with MFS Tools and creating a working divorced image from 2 drive Directivos running 2.5.

I would still give it a try and if you cant get a working restore then post a message and I will give you a link to download a working single drive image you can use to upgrade.
