I noticed the other night that there are two unused buttons when TiVo is playing a show: arrow up and arrow down. Here are my suggestions:
Arrow up: displays a time clock over the channel bug. I am always hitting right arrow just to get the time, and get the whole banner across the top. I know that it can be minimized, but I would just like a non-descript clock to appear in the lower right corner.
Arrow Down: now, here is one that will require programming. When you are watching a game, frequently there are other games on that you want to keep track of. What if TiVo could encode the scores from other games in the closed captioning part of the signal. You hit the down arrow, and the score of another game comes on in a banner in the top or bottom of the screen. hitting down arrow scrolls through the games on right now. You hit clear to get rid of the info, when you hit down arrow again, the screen comes back to the game you left off on before. If the other game is on a network partner, maybe you could have the "select" button pop up, like TiVomatics, to change to the other game, if it is on a station you recieve.
I realize this is labor intensive: someone would have to input live scores, the networks would have to cooperate, etc. This is the time TiVo should be thinking of doing this, in anticipation of when everyone has a TiVo. They could sell it to the networks, since it keeps people from switching away from the game on commercial breaks.

Arrow down changes to the other tuner when using DirecTiVo and multiple tuners...not sure if arrow up does anything or not.
