Let me add my two cents in regarding Groundcrack's earlier suggestion to modify the Season Pass parameters to record only recent episodes. I'll bet his X-File problem is exactly the same as my Simpson's problem. Like Groundcrack, I don't want all the daily reruns of the Simpsons clogging up my precious 35 hours of hard drive space. What I DO want are all the newer shows (which may or may not be reruns). Here's what I figure is at the root of the issue. All the daily reruns are SYNDICATED showings, while the newer episodes are NETWORK showings. In my area, these shows all air on the same channel. If TiVo could differentiate between the network offerings and the syndicated offerings, I believe we'd have our problem solved. Whaddaya say?
