Does TiVo announce what changes it's going to make in the OS?

I'm wondering if the soft-padding feature will be added in an upcoming release.

TiVo usually "announces" it here long before any official word is released.

The last we've heard says that the next release is going to clean up a few things, not really offer any new features. Of course this refers to the "real" software, not backdoor issues.

It was described before by TiVolutionary (a TiVo employee) that soft padding would be very difficult to implement so I wouldn't count on it any time soon.
