How does disk space usage compare between the older Tivo's and the new DirecTivo's that record the data stream rather than the decoded analog info???

In terms of hours/gigabyte... about the same... but for standalones the figure given is for "basic" quality, for DTiVos there is only one quality setting which compares favorably to the SA's "best"
