DITIVO cancellations...anyone had this problem?

I have DirectTivo, recently and got notice that my Tivo account is invalid. Have paid for lifetime supscription. Called Direct Tv, they said everything is ok, called Tivo they said it is a direct tv issue. Now direct tv says it will be corrected in 24-72 hours. Anyone else had this problem and does this answer sound reliable?

There are threads on this in the help center and DirectTV reciever with TiVo forums.
Looks like someone blew away a chunk of their database

Yes Directv did the same crap to me on 1/16/02. I signed up back in early December for LIFETIME, but got the message that I need to sign up for the Tivo service. Directv claimed I never activated my service and went ahead and activated (again). I was not going to take any chances so I called TIVO myself (40 minutes on hold) then had them enter me in their system. I got the 48 to 72 hour turn-on response. Reading between the lines, I gather that the slow-down is occuring on directv's end, not on Tivo.

After numerous calls, and being on hold for literally hours, my DiTivo seems to be back in service. Who know if it will last. I'll put another post if anything else happens, but the good news is it seems to be working.
I unplugged my other Ditivo from the phone line so it wouldn't catch the same disease. I'm getting ready to plug it back in and I'll cross my fingers. Thanks everyone for the info.
