Tivolution Mag, what to do?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

As discussed in another thread , Tivolution mag is getting a bit thin and useless. Should we demand better....or is it time for the mag to join Tivo Takes?

I love the TV Mag, It sometimes helps me catch programs that I want to see but did not have a season pass set up for it.

What does FEH mean? I've seen this twice now from two different people. I thought it was a typo... :D

It means "finally enough hobos ". As to what that stands for... :p

Hmm, not sure how to vote using your options. I like the idea of Tivolution magazine, but even at its best, it wan't ever that great. It needs something more than a few broad categories to lump everything in, ideally it should have the feel of a personal touch. Also, it is pretty worthless without being able to view future showings, but that change by itself would not make it a great tool for me.

I guess my vote is "Keep it, but it needs a serious overhaul."

AFAIK, it's an insult, adding a tinge of condescension to the dismissal.

"Feh! This cream is sour!"

"Feh, this new OS from Microsoft isn't very good."

"Feh, this hotel doesn't have TiVo."

A close relative to "feh" would probably be "bah" as in "Bah, humbug!"

Huh. Learn something new every day... Thanks.

I've never used the Mag much, but I agree that it could be very useful. I do tend to miss out on series premieres and special events b/c I no longer need to buy TV Guide or watch commercials, which is where I used to get my info.

It sounds like the Mag used to do that, but maybe wasn't as comprehensive as the info that I used to get from TV Guide. Also, featuring lots of stuff from channels I don't have would annoy me a lot. We should be able to customize it so it only shows the channels we watch. And view upcoming would definitely be a big improvement too! If it did that, I would use it and consider it a big improvement to TiVo.

I used to think it was useless, until it became what it has become. I did find it more usefull than I thought I did.

Bring the mag back to it's former glory AND Bring back daphne!

I just check it out every week to see how Spock is doing. :)

I don't use the mag. and I also have never used the Network Showcases. I find both of these to be useless. I only have basic, basic cable and find most of the shows I can't even get because I don't have the channel and I only get NBC on showcases.

I never really used TiVolution Mag but do from time to time use the Showcases. My wife really misses HGTV in the 'cases.

 What happened to TIVO Takes? I just installed my DTivo last week and read about TT in the User guide and it sounded interesting. Is it no longer available?

Tivo Takes was canceled... must be going on a year ago now, give or take. My chant above "bring back daphne!" is regarding the show... Daphne was the host.

I've got to say, tivo takes was more useful to me than Tivomag or showcases will ever be.

When I installed my new D-TiVo yesterday a commercial for TiVo Takes was already on the disk, dated early December.

Thats the PROBLEM with TiVO mag. It DOESN"T catch 1/8th of the "New" stuff, or "Special" stuff on TV anymore. I have since stopped even looking at it, and started my subscription to TV guide again.
